UpCode Reader
The UpCode reader describes itself as a Mobile Access Interaction System (MAI) that is capable of scanning 2D barcodes such as the all important QR-Code. The UpCode QR-Code reader works like any other; you install the application, point your camera at a QR-Code for the reader to then digest the contents. Primarily described to read QR-Codes designed for accessing website's, the UpCode is just as capable of interpreting any other form of content e.g. VCard.
What set's the UpCode reader apart from other QR-Code readers is that you can also type in numerical values next to a ECC 200 2D Data Matrix barcode to access its contents. Slightly defeats the purpose of capturing barcodes, but still useful.

The UpCode can be download free via a the following options:
Mobile Phone
Connect to the internet on your mobile phone and then point your browser at:
http://www.upcode.mobi
UpCode will then check if your mobile phone is compatible with the UpCode QR-Code reader.
SMS
Send a blank SMS to the mobile phone number:

UpCode will then send you a SMS back containing a link to the UpCode QR-Code reader.
